123makelaar, proud sponsor of the Adaptive-tennis team of De Cromme Bal.
Last year we sponsored suits so the whole team looks great again. Below is a report from the past time.
After the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty about whether we could play tennis or not, we’re fortunate to be able to train every Saturday morning without fail. The group consists of about twenty disabled-tennis players. Not everyone can be present every week; they sometimes have other commitments. During each training session, there are five buddies present who assist the coach with the exercises.
The buddies are all volunteers. There are over sixteen in total who come to help according to the schedule. Some became buddies by chance, through word of mouth, because we are a super fun and enthusiastic group of people. Even some buddies had signed up before Adaptive-tennis started nearly 9 years ago.
Families are also represented in Adaptive-tennis, as participants, as buddies, or as ball retrievers. When it’s someone’s birthday, they are sung to, and there’s always a treat. In short, a cozy and close-knit group. The coach turned 50 last month, and there was even a banner arranged with a sack of 50 presents.
This spring, there was also sadness. We lost two beautiful people within the tennis group. They found a lot of support in each other, and the sorrow was shared among them.
Our sponsor, 123makelaar, is also a Buddy and recently outfitted the entire G-tennis department with new gear. We’re making a splash and looking fabulous. We’re conspicuously present as a group at every tournament, and everyone is proud of that.
On October 22, 2022, it’s that time again: our own Open Adaptive-Tennis Tournament. Many Adaptive-tennis associations have been contacted, and registrations are pouring in. We anticipate another fantastic day filled with nothing but winners and exciting tennis matches.
Who knows, perhaps you’d like to drop by T.V De Cromme Bal in Krommenie.
